A few days ago, my friends Sharon and Mary visted Barter to see some shows and to complain that I don’t update my website often enough. They are 100% correct. I have neglected the “news.” I shall endeavor to do better and will begin with this current – albeit brief – update:

The Barter Players are currently performing my adaptation of TARZAN at Barter’s Smith Theatre (formerly Stage II) – super-proud of this production. Running until August 10th – see it if you can!

This fall, the Barter Players will be producing my adaptation of THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW – if you’re looking for a fun, spooky Halloweenish treat for you and the kids, this is it!

This fall, another favorite yet-to-be-disclosed theatre will be producing my GHOST, GHOST, COME OUT TONIGHT – as soon as the theatre announces its season, I’ll let you know when and where you can see it!

I just finished the 1st draft of my new play CHARLOTTESVILLE – will be working on rewrites soon. Excited to write a play about some of the issues we face in this time.

Am submitting my musical A WOMAN CALLED MOSES (about Harriet Tubman) to theatres around the country. Composer Gary Bartholomew and I have been working on it (off and on) for years. Hoping we can find someone to take on this epic story. Appreciate all the good energy sent our way on this one.

More work in the pipeline – am currently reading LITTLE WOMEN so I can adapt it into a one-woman show for my friend Carrie Smith Lewis.

All right – more next month. Stay tuned!
